My still-life work explores multiple concepts through the use of simple items as subjects in order to establish a connection between the viewer and every-day objects, which take on new significance when seen in different contexts. Abstract ideas also become reality through skin and facial expressions in portraiture, in which dynamism - or its illusion - is often a major component.
Inspiration comes from sources such as literature and cinema, influences that show in the choice of key-concepts and framing; also, nature itself contributes as element of visual research because of its huge potential to create something new without compromising its integrity.
Vision is experience.
